We are foodies. We all know that food is a way to show love. We realize that sharing good food together is an experience in and of itself. Some of our favorite eats are listed below.

Rudy's - tasty BBQ

Sugarbakers, San Antonio - delicious sweets and treats

Pappassitto's- love their enchiladas

Gourdough's Austin, TX - the yummiest food truck you will encounter. Try the Mama's Cake or the Funky Monkey.

Hard Eight, Brady, TX- love their banana pudding and cornbread salad. The BBQ is yummy too!

Crumbs Bakery in NYC- the best cupcakes you will ever eat. Still searching for my toasted coconut.....

The Wafels and Dinges truck(s) in NYC. The "Throwdown" wafel is my fave! Soooo tasty!

Sweet Tooth Fairy, Provo, Utah- Love their cake bites. D'lish!

Macky's Shrimp Truck, right outside of Haleiwa, HI- Best Coconut Shrimp ever! Yummy!

Favorite Phrases - Sayings of the week

Calista- I say to Cali- What did we learn today when the battery died on the car because we had the radio on, all of the interior lights on, and were rolling down all of the windows as some type of crazy game? Cali's response: That car batteries don't have enough juice and it stinks! (I was hoping for something different but this made me laugh) "Mom, the coach at school says that we need to start bathing every day, and wearing deodorant". To which I reply: "Do you stink"? And Cali responds with hysterical laughter. (where is the maturation clinic when you need it?) Kensi- "She's looking for lice again". -As I peer at her head while pulling her hair back in a ponytail.

As Kensi is brushing her teeth she mumbles and I say to her "Kensi, you know I don't like it when you mumble." She responds (still with a mouth full of toothpaste): "What? My mouwf is full of pooppaste." -Well it sounded like pooppaste anyway and Cali and I were hysterical over it.

"Mom, What does our Government do"? To which I reply very sarcastically "Nothing". "Well Mom, what did our Government used to do"?

Luke- "Mom, all of these houses are beautiful!" -said in a hushed whisper while we were driving to a neighbors in the dark and he was marveling at the Christmas lights.

"I need more oiytmeal".

"Mom, why do they call oatmeal, oiytmeal?" I reply "Luke, you call oatmeal oiytmeal." :-)

"Mom, can you cool it up again"?

"That would be me........" He responds to pretty much any question but especially Who tooted? lol

"I don't like a Milky Wave".

Where are you going on a Mission? "To people's houses for dinner". No Luke, like what location: Mexico, California, Germany. "I'm going to Jackson Hole".

As he jumps from the headboard of my four poster bed "Mom, I've arrived from Outer Space".

"Mom, why is Kensi talking like Yoda"? (Kensi has a really bad case of bronchitis and speaks in a gravely whisper)

"Mom, nice gut"! (said to me while I was helping Luke put his pants on and I was bent over. Out of the mouths of babes! :)

Ummm, that would be me!

Noah- A da-da-da! bleehh, errr, bubble, spit. :)

Hi, Hi, hi, hieeee! (while doing a scrunchy wave)

Da, da, duuuh.

Mom-

Mark- "Melinda, you live your life in exclamation points". - To which I reply "Of course!" !!!!!!! I am a passionate person silly!
